Soul on Board was Curt's first and only solo effort. It was released in Europe and apparently Asia in 1993 on the Mercury label, but not long after the album was deleted from Mercury's catalog. Curt has said that the album was done mainly to get out of his Mercury contract. As such, Curt is no big fan of the album. In fact, he would rather have gophers eat his chest hairs out one by one than listen to it.

Here are the album's complete lyrics. I have only included them on this site under duress and wish to register a formal protest with the UN War Crimes Tribunal.

Promotion for the album included videos for "Calling Out" and "Words." The latter was accompanied by an interview, "The Making of 'Words.'" These videos are not commercially available and you will only find them taped from TV in the collections of more serious (i.e. nondiscriminating) TFF collectors.

"Calling Out" was released as a single in July 1993 in England. At least two CD singles for it were released, a one-track promo and a four-track single, both released on Vertigo. The four-track single includes the B-sides "Deal," "How Does It Feel," and "Calling Out (Unplugged Mix)".
